SURVEYS AND
COMPUTER MODELLING FOR SITE PLANNING We perform real-time site surveys of vacant land to determine power line EMF levels prior to site design, and can provide computer modelling of fields based on electrical loading estimates to assist in siting buildings. Computer modelling can show where magnetic field levels will be elevated outside of a right-of-way under various scenarios, including average and peak electrical loading. Topographic variations and two- and three-story homes and office buildings can be modelled to accurately reflect future elevations for occupied space. Non-linear power line sources can be taken into account. Computer modelling for underground power lines can be provided for duct, utilidor and steel pipe installation. Lowest EMF design options can be identified through computer modelling programs, if the objective is to minimize or eliminate elevated EMF within a building envelope. Proposed building lots can be reconfigured or relocated with respect to anticipated EMF levels from transmission and distribution lines on the basis of information provided by computer modelling. |
